epicenterの意味・語源・覚え方

epicenterの意味は「中心・発生地」です。

epicenterの語源は、epi (上の) + center (中心)、です

語源epi (上の)は、epilogue (最後に述べる言葉) = epi (上の) + log (speak)、から連想できます?

語源log (speak)は、logo (商標) = 会社の存在を語るもの、から連想できます

epicenterの覚え方は、「中心(center)の上の(epi) ≒ 中心・発生地」というイメージで覚えましょう。
